I posted a comment here on FR shortly after Barbara died that he would go soon after.

I saw that comment. I'm fascinated by this subject. There are lots of articles out there on this (just search "why elderly couples die together") and you will get a lot of articles on this. Apparently there is even some science behind it.

In my personal life, I've observed this too. About 10 years ago, I had an uncle who died at 88 - just two weeks after his wife of 85 passed on. They were married over 65 years. Like the Bushes, they too were married during WW2. Right after the wedding, my uncle went over to the European front and participated in the liberation of Paris - he was one of those many troops who marched down the Champs Elysees, right by the Arch de Triumph, while my aunt worked at a factory in the Boston area. He had some stories to tell but you had to ply him with brandy to get him to talk about those days.

If President Bush believes in God, and Heaven, then he surely believes that he will see Barbara again once he passes. One can only imagine how that hopeful thought competes in the mind of a 90 something year old man, when dealing with the pain and difficulties of everyday life. All politics is pushed aside, and I have nothing but prayers and good wishes for the former president.

I feel he was the enemy of the voters, the American people. He wanted to / joined in at bringing down 3 presidents. That is someone who doesn’t respect us; he and his ilk think they know “better” how our government should be run, they also profited personally from some very unsavory businesses.

In my opinion, the Bush family is as dirty as the Clinton family, but they did it all with more of a sheen of “class.”

I said all this for a couple years here, and I know some have agreed. I don’t wish to heap insult upon an old dying man. But neither do I weep with a broken heart when an enemy comes to the end of their life.

EVERY conservative should read the Bush Crime Syndicate. They are no better than and just as evil as the Clintons. I get angry every time I think about how they fooled so many people. I went to DU to capture some vile comments on this, there were none (one mild jab at Trump). I’m the last to give any credit over there, libs anywhere ... but it felt good to see that they are in essence saying the same things said here.
