So, how many does that leave that didn't endorse it???????
Do not assume that their membership unanimously supports this position by the organization...
Don't visit the progressive hell holes and you'll be safe.
And if they did any such law would be struck down on 10th Amendment grounds. It's a state issue.
But it isn't. Prior to the Obergfell decision, a gay couple who were married in Massachusetts could not move to Kansas and expect to have their marriage license recognized. They could not file state taxes as a married couple. Likewise, Kansas will issue drivers licenses to teens as young as 14. Get pulled over in Illinois and the driver will be cited for not having a valid license.
Sure. Who needs that pesky 10th Amendment anyway?
Because the Supreme Court has ruled on this in the past. Gun control laws are a state issue.
I’m doing the same thing, and I’ll miss Virginia because of Maryland.
Texas isn’t as gun friendly as everyone assumes. I mean it’s not bad, but even my state of Pennsylvania is FULL of pro-gun, gun-carriers and people who don’t stand for that. When you get states that have municipal carry laws you’ll notice that they do that because they can’t get things to pass on the state level. And that’s good.
Interesting. Why hasn’t the NRA fought such a case in court?
Because the Supreme Court has ruled on this in the past. Gun control laws are a state issue.
...and I contend that the NRA doesn’t give a rip about the Constitution or they would be attempting at the very least to protect our Second Amendment Rights. The NRA has been around since 1877, and every egregious Congressional attack on the Second Amendment has been since that time.
1934 Act to reduce criminals killing other criminals with machine guns.
1968 Gun Control Act. To make it illegal to buy guns from the Sears Catalog and other spurious issues.
1986 Gun Control Act, to BAN machine guns in the hands of WE THE PEOPLE. Why, because they can.
I am an NRA member, but the NRA and many on it’s board, are not friends of the Second Amendment.
Am I reading this right? 473 police officials from 18,000 departments favor gun control, is that it?
Even if there were only one police official in each of those 18,000 departments, that would mean that gun grabbers were outnumbered 17,527 to one.
And what does police official mean? 20-something girls in HR?

Exactly what went through my mind. How do we know exactly who signed exactly what and when. The persons behind this heinous act need to be identified and acquainted with the 2A (2nd Amendtment).
And like has been posted, the numbers are in...vast majority do not favor restrictions on a national level and even at state levels they are subject to the 2nd Amendment.
Nuts to this whole idea.
Actually, no, they're not.
Getting your license to work in all 50 states required an interstate compact as provided for in Article I §10.
no reason to go through New Jersey. I have an NRA sticker on ALL my vehicles.
Jersey troopers stop folks with NRA stickers and search their vehicles for weapons.
I ALWAYS have a gun in my vehicles for protection.
They shake down folks for thousands when they find one.
Hey New Jersey, F you.
True. Dallas has also been infested by cretins, and Ft Worth isn't far behind.
Time is now for you to admit that urban Texas is as big a mess as are the Midwestern cities you mention.
I wouldn't go quite that far, but it is heading in that direction.
Confusing legal gun owners with gun possessor that cannot legally have a firearm with regards to murder rates is a ridiculous blurring of the lines.
Not all. In my little town north of Ft Worth, the former police chief (since retired) would give CCW classes. For residents, it was free. Outsite folks paid a nominal fee. He figured the more of the good guys that were licensed to carry, the better it was for his officers.
Some of the nations Police Chiefs. Might be a good idea to ask the actual police officers in the communities. You knw the ones that actually do law enforcement work and not politics!
Democrat Police Chiefs....
I would post every one of these treasonous bastard swines names every day for the next ten years so people don’t forget how they stood between the Constitution and our safety.....
39 states, 473 people from 18,000 police departments. Thats 2.6% of the PDs (less if more than one person from same PD).
Thats roughly the same % as our homo count. Gotta wonder how many of those anti-2A police chiefs are women...
