So, it goes like this?

Blumenthal/Shear provide rumors and innuendo to the State Dept.

State Dept funnels the rumors to the FBI

Hillary and the DNC use a law firm that hires Fusion GPS that hires Steele

FBI provides rumors to Steele

Steele launders the rumors by including them in the Steele Dossier

Fusion GPS/Steele/Ohr provide Dossier and other rumors to FBI

Senator McCain's assistant flies to Europe to get a copy of the Dossier

McCain provides copy of Dossier to Comey

DOJ and FBI use Dossier as basis for a FISA application

CNN/other media have copies of the Dossier, but don't report it because it can't be verified

Comey briefs President on the "pee-pee" rumor from Dossier

CNN now has "news hook" to justify writing about the Dossier

Great summary!!!!

I think it will turn out that some of the actual verbiage in the dossier was originally written by Schear and Sid.

Clinton resigned as Sec of State in 2013 so the incumbent was John Kerry at the time when this was going on. So I bet Lurch’s fingerprints are on this somewhere.

Within the State Department, the Assistant Secretary for Intelligence and Research (INR) would normally be involved in the production and dissemination of intelligence product. This individual just happens to have been nominated by Obama in 2014 and is still the guy in charge of the INR. I don’t know if this is a political appointee or not but I find it perplexing that the Trump administration has kept so many Obama holdovers in key positions.

Senator McCain's assistant flies to Europe to get a copy of the Dossier

McCain provides copy of Dossier to Comey

A key part of this that is NEVER reported on, even by the majority of right-leaning sources

Pretty much how you uses the state’s injustice system to destroy your political opposition.

That said I’m not sure McCain added anything of value to this beyond predictably siding with this kin the democrats on the matter.

Donald Trump can end this real quick with a very logical question backed up by a threat:

If Rosenstein didn’t need a crime to start a open ended special console investigation into him why can’t he start such an investigation into every democrat and RINO under the exact same pretext?

I suspect the minute he threatens to do so they will be forced to concoct some contradictory argument to protect themselves and in the process prove his case, that this is not equal justice under the law.

Then if they don’t fall in line he simply orders up such a investigation, and watches the rats either flee the ship hoping it will protect them or come to the table to ‘clarify’ the law.

My understanding is that Steele enters the picture a lot sooner than that.

Steele had been feeding information about Russia to the State Dept. for years before he got hired to do the dossier on Trump.

He was already a trusted source.

Where does the RNC hiring Fusion GPS during the primary fit, or not?

Kind of like a "Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel" kind of machine. Rigged.
