I went to Bing. [Not as good as Duckduckgo but preferable to Google.] Here is the perhaps unnecessarily long string I typed in:

‘sessions recused himself during senate hearing from investigating hillary’

I got, frankly, more hits than Comey has unsold books. All of them document my prior statement.

If I can do it, is there any good reason you cannot?

It’s not a question of can or cannot. It’s a matter of the claimant providing the source of any claim he or she makes.

His recusal letter carries the weight of the recusal, not a statement of his intention to recuse and the promise to consult ethics consultants for the proper recusal.

In testimony, Sessions said he would recuse himself. Following that, he studied the issue and consulted with others, and then wrote his recusal statement.

It is the statement, not the prior testimony, that is the controlling factor.
