You don't find it suspicious that all of these seemingly "random" homicides, massacres, and assassinations which have been occurring with increasing frequency since Obama was first elected to office all have one single common denominator? That they ALL have been accomplished with the use of a firearm?

Whatever happened to all the different methods of mayhem that used to be in the news--knives, bombs, strangulation, poisoning the food chain, automobiles, hijackings, fires, arson, trucks, busses, aircraft sabotage, etc etc???

Over the past ten years, just about every so-called "random" lone wolf attack in the U.S. targeting innocent women and children has been accomplished with the use of a firearm, and in the process, has stoked the fires of anti-Second Amendment sentiment into a veritable inferno.

Not really. If you want to kill a bunch of people, an AR-15 is going to be about the easiest method.

All the other methods of mayhem you described (except for mass strangulations) controls have been introduced to mitigate these. We haven't had mass bombings since Oklahoma City. We haven't had mass poisonings since Tylenol, and we haven't had hijackings since 9/11. Stabbings and driving trucks into crowds are acts you'll find in places that have gun control. No since bothering with that here since AR-15s are cheap, plentiful, and far more effective.

Ask yourself this; if you wanted to go on a killing spree, what would you use? I'd use a semi-auto rifle with 30 round magazines.

My wife and I patronized that exact same Waffle House just a week ago yesterday.
We travelled to Nashville last weekend to visit my daughter and family who live a couple of miles from there. We got up early Saturday morning and went there for breakfast around 7:30am or so.
FWIW, it seemed safe enough at the time. Typical Waffle House for that hour of the day on Saturday. However, we’re both have CC permits and ALWAYS sit where at least one of us (usually me) can keep an eye on the door regardless of where we’re at.....just in case.
And to answer the question before it’s even asked: Yes. I would probably have shot him had it happened while we were there...assuming it went down the way it’s described.

I always record FOX News Sunday on my cable DVR from the Nashville channel 17, which is the regular Fox channel, and watch the recording after FOX and Friends is finished. As I was watching the program, the FOX 17 had running the story on the bottom as Breaking News.

Do you get a sense of where LE is thinking he’s gone? Do we know if he has any survival training? I’m wondering if he’s stolen/hijacked a vehicle ...has holed up in house with hostages or killed himself. None of that works if he doesn’t have more firearms with him. Apparently LE said there are 2 missing so he may have scooped them up when he returned to apt.

It was about 3:30am CDT when this happened. It’s now 5pm and they’re still sweeping the area.

The police chief didn’t seem to know at the 2pm press conference. The FBI is involved as well and placed him on their top most wanted. There’s wooded areas around here he could be hiding in, presuming he didn’t have a car. Although it’s not frigid, it’s been raining all day and around 59-61 degrees. That won’t do wonders for your health if you have little in the way of clothes if you’re outside.

Of course, this neighborhood is used to crime. It was some months back when that nutter went into a local church and shot it up. A Central American illegal tried to murder two cops across the street from my house (I heard the whole thing out my open window).

The new Mayor and chief used this incident to politicize guns rather than the fact that this is another mental illness case, and that, just like FL where they failed to stop the kid who shot up the high school, they knew about this guy, too. But hey, let’s take away our Second Amendment rights. Sickening. These leftists scare me more than these shooters.

It’s reaching a boiling point in our country. These shootings are awful and yet the left seems to almost rejoice when they happen and social media turns local crimes into national events.

Hope he gets caught before dark.
