I agree. I know I am being naive, but Kim Jong Un has a singular opportunity to achieve Korean unification and to bring his people out of an awful place. A denuclearized Korean federation with northern autonomy but an Asian/capitalist economy would be a nice beginning. See, East Germany 1989.

2020, here we come!! Plus, the world will see in horrid detail the ghastly results of communism as aid groups move in, and broken malnourished people stream out. Truly revealing for all Americans — especially for young people in our colleges and universities who think communism is “cool,” and for the democRats who love Cuba and openly assert they want to be called “Socialists.” A PR coup and “teachable moment” victory for free market Capitalism and the American way. Go, Mr. President!!
And they will promptly turn around and hate us like all the other countries in the world that we've helped.
Amen. I pray for the North Koreans, too. I’ve read about cult survivors like Jonestown, Children of God, Amma, $cient0l0gy, etc., and the devastating effects on the victim’s and their families... this is a whole country, with generations of beautiful children knowing nothing else. Been praying for this people since reading Aquariums of Pyongyang. It’s not history, it’s TODAY that these people are suffering under c0mmunism. How does the self-loathing left not see N0rk0r & Venezuela, et al, as the nightmares they are?
