The most telling aspect of the story will be Sessions’ silence. He is so passive and deferential to Rosenstein [during his last congressional hearing Sessions kept punting all the important questions to RR] that not even his most ardent supporters predict a response.

Sessions: the Washington Post said what about me? Hmm... Well hand me the Asset Forfeiture file; I have work to do.

The idea that the Attorney General is so far out of the loop that he has to call the White House Counsel’s office to find out about a meeting his deputy had with the President is interesting...in a sadly pathetic sort of way.
