Attorney General Jeff Sessions informed the White House that he may resign from his post in the event that President Trump fires Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, according to a new report.

Sessions notified White House counsel Don McGahn of this during a phone call last weekend, sources told the Washington Post.

During the phone call, Sessions sought information about a meeting between Trump and Rosenstein and was relieved to hear that the meeting was primarily pleasant, and mentioned that he would have to weigh resigning if Trump fired Rosenstein, a person familiar with the call told the Post.

Here is some sand for you. That is, if you can stand to hear the words from your heroes mouth.

By the way, wherein the Bible does it say sin only exists for public officials? I thought we were all sinners and all required to repent. I do recall that Trump was unable to think of anything he should repent for, but then the whole Christian doctrine is unknown to him, from communion to offertory, it's all a mystery.

You have the problem with reality, “fantasy” boy. You are left with media sourcing and tea leaves to ferret out what you think might be going on. Including our rather crafty President’s tweets (surely you don’t take those at face value instead of chum for the media shark wannabees). Which is why you are left with fantasy. Which clearly gives you comfort, and clinical confidence as an amateur psychiatrist.

Maybe some day you’ll write a history book on the topic, only if our President is successful. Spend a little less time with Tolkien, and a little more with Robert Conquest.

Trump expressed his disappointment in the Justice Department during a Fox News interview in which he said Comey is “guilty of crimes” that could be uncovered “if we had a Justice Department that was doing their job.

When asked why he doesn’t push the department to do more, Trump say he’s staying out for now.

“Because of the fact that they have this witch hunt going on with people in the Justice Department that shouldn’t be there, they have a witch hunt against the president of the United States going on, I’ve taken the position, and I don’t have to take this position and maybe I’ll change, that I will not be involved with the Justice Department,” he said. “I will wait until this is over. It’s a total, it’s all lies and it’s a horrible thing that is going on, a horrible thing.”

Trump has repeatedly lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who heads the department, for recusing himself from the Russia investigation. Trump has previously called on the department to target leakers, but no one has been prosecuted for leaks critical of the Trump administration.

“So very disappointed in my Justice Department,” Trump said. “Because of the fact it is going on, and I think you will understand this, I have decided I won’t be involved. I may change my mind at some point because what is going on is a disgrace. It is an absolute disgrace. By the way only collusion is with Democrats and Russians.”
