It sure does. These idiots have no clue that the more the push the anti-gun crap, the more people buy guns.

If they wanted guns out of society this is what they should do.

1. Close the borders and stop criminal aliens from entering the country. Throw out the ones that don’t belong here legally. This reduces crime and the people would feel safer.

2. Incarcerate criminals for their full sentence. This reduces crime by keeping criminals out of society and the people would feel safer.

3. Govern as a servant of the people rather than a tyrannical power. This would show that the government knew its place and the people would feel safer.

4. Actively go after violent law breakers and those that threaten others inappropriately. This would clean up the threats to peaceful living and make the people feel safer.

5. Stop the persecution of law abiding citizens for owning the wrong type or color of self defense tool and honor the Second Amendment completely. The people would feel safer.

Then after 100 years of a government in its proper place, the borders safe from alien invasion and criminals locked up tight, we may think about buying 0.00001% less than now. It is not the place of government to know what firearm a person has. It’s not the place of the government to know how much ammo a person has. The government’s only responsibility when it comes to firearms is to not infringe on the people and to punish those that use a firearm with reckless disregard and aggression against others.

A responsible person with a warehouse of M-60 machine guns is less harmful to society than a thug with a screwdriver. That seems to never enter the discussion.
