Can you get any more sneaky and weaselly than the self-righteous James Comey? Seriously? Comey tells Trump about the existence of “salacious allegations” in the possession of the FBI that claim that Trump was with prostitutes in Russia, but WITHHOLDS from the President the small fact that the so-called “dossier” was funded in part by Trump’s political opposition, i.e., the Hillary Clinton campaign?
IMO, the reason Comey kept that info from the President is that Comey and his deep state cabal were in the process of running a political coup against the President and that if he had disclosed to the President this information, Trump would have tweeted it out that this whole investigation was based on political dirty tricks from the Democrat Party. To disclose the truth about the “dossier” might very well have put an end to this whole coup attempt right away.
Comey: Fine weather we are having.
Trump: Yes, the weather is fine.
Comey memo: The President agrees with me.

Part way through reading the memos. It is clear to me that Trump was baiting and testing Comey and Comey was too dumb to realize it. He greatly underestimated Trump and had no idea how much information he was confirming.
Wow fascinating. Please investigate any wrongdoing you suspect within my campaign. That is such an unusual, strange way to obstruct justice and end a probe.
This exonerates Trump. Tell Mueller he has a week to wrap this up. If he refuses fire him.

Dinner at the White House: 1/28/17 - Comey doesn’t seem to be able to eat and think at the same time...claimed to be having trouble following the different topics as they come up during dinner. Then has trouble putting it all down on paper as it happened. It’s amazing though, that he had no trouble recalling in detail, almost word-for-word, all the great compliments that the President gave him. Comey’s head must have been swimming. Too bad it wasn’t swimming in the soup tureen.

Now why would he feel compelled to call him?

Comry’s main focus is how to entrap Trump, so his short term memory is somewhat impared beyond figuring what cracks Trump exposes that he (Comey) can try to penetrate in the near term.
