I don’t think her cats are making her happy and fulfilled.
Oh my, isn’t that the truth.
We had a dog lady in our agency (very large agency) who used to claim that her dogs were just like children to her and loved her the same way that children do. I have five and tried to explain that there was a difference but I got nowhere. I used to say that there was nothing like the first time your child throws their arms around your neck and says “I Love You”.
Quite awhile later she stops me in a cubicle and explains that she and her husband finally had a child and that the child hugged her like that. She sincerely wanted to tell me how much the difference meant to her.
Happy and fulfilled. What a way to go through life.
