Wow, what a coincidence! Exactly 1 year ago today, this same Fresno U President issued an announcement that they were disciplining another tenured faculty member (for calling for Trump to be hanged). This other prof was suspended from teaching duties and had to go "on leave" for the rest of the semester. He still got paid for his "research" off campus though, and "rest of the semester" starting on the 18th of April is like what, an entire four weeks? Still, it's a start.

But this year's offender is obviously as dumb as an ox if she didn't learn a lesson from watching close up what happened one year before, right where she works! Maybe she thought that since she's already on leave (at her request they say, she took off work this semester), there's nothing they're going to do to her. But that's just begging the admin to step up the punishment level this time around.

Didn't she take into account what the admin - who must still be suffering the bad publicity of a near-identical case happening 12 mo ago - might do differently this time around? They privately must be seething that she was such a complete idiot to cause this to be done to them two Aprils in a row.

Lots of contracts now include boilerplate clauses that deal with actions that reflect badly on the corporation which employs the “thing” involved. This is used by sports teams, but also applies, obviously, to over-educated idiots.
