Definition of an assault weapon includes any semi-automatic weapon that has one or more of the following:
two items from the list:
(iv) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of seven rounds; or
(v) an ability to accept a detachable magazine;

BTW - even in MN I can’t imagine this bill going anywhere. Here in Washington state some congresscritter will bring up a bill like this. It gets brought up for consideration and is promptly voted down.
It began in 1962. In 1976 they threw off the mask claiming they “only wanted to control handguns” calling for a full ban as their end goal and “Rifles will not be affected!”
In 1987 they threw of the “Rifles” mask and called for bans on semi-auto rifles.
Then in the 1990s, they threw off the mask calling for bans on certain large caliber bolt action rifles.
