Backfire: Plurality Now Want James Comey Prosecuted For Leaks
Bereitbart ^ | 4-17-2018 | John Nolte

The latest polling from Rasmussen Reports (one of the most reliable in 2016) shows a huge slide in support for James Comey, the disgraced former head of the FBI. A plurality of 46 percent now want to see him prosecuted for leaking to the media. While President Trump’s job approval rating continues to climb in both the Rasmussen daily tracking poll (49 percent approval) and in the Real Clear Politics poll of polls, in the wake of his public relations blitz, Comey’s numbers have taken a steep dive.

As far as the job he did as FBI director, Rasmussen discovered that “just 14% of Likely U.S. Voters believe that Comey was a better FBI director than most of those who held the job before him. Thirty-eight percent (38%) say he did a worse job this his predecessors, while nearly as many (35%) rate his job performance as about the same as theirs.”

Even those who “strongly disapprove” of Trump are not big fans of Comey, with only 21 percent of that particular group giving him credit as a better FBI director than his predecessors.

Comey has admitted to leaking details of his classified conversations with Trump to the media through an intermediary. Last June, only 41 percent wanted to see him prosecuted for this. That number has now jumped to a near-majority and clear plurality of 46 percent.

In worse news for Comey, his base of support among those who do not want to see him prosecuted has plummeted -13 points, from 47 percent in June to just 34 percent today.

In June, Comey was above water by six points on the issue of prosecution, 47 percent to 41 percent.

Today he is upside down -12 points, 34 percent to 46 percent — a shift of 18 points against him.

Help me understand HOW THE HELL an OPINION POLL bears on the prosecution of alleged - but rather well documented - CRIMES regardless of WHO COMMITTED THEM??

We either have  THE RULE OF LAW for EVERYONE or we tolerate the LAWLESSNESS OF THE WOULD-BE RULERS!
We can’t have it BOTH WAYS!
And the end stage of the latter is ALWAYS TOTAL TYRANNY.
Which will it be, America? WHICH WILL IT BE??
And remember that the most dangerous phrase in ANY language is
“Why THAT could never happen HERE?”
Are you willing to bet YOUR KIDS’ future that it won’t?
If you’re STILL sitting out this fight, that’s PRECISELY what you’re doing!

Moreover, if these crimes against the state are not redressed, they will continue into the future.

But ... he is now a private citizen. He told us so.

In his own mind he cannot be prosecuted.

Good luck with that man.

Admitting you’re a leaker is one thing, acting smug and sanctimonious about it just sends people over the edge.

But he’s tainting that jury pool. Mission accomplished.

“Help me understand HOW THE HELL ,,”

I couldn’t agree with you more. It sounds like mob rule on a national level.

We are a nation of laws, not of polls or the men taking those polls.

Yeah, his crimes are kind of old now. It’s been discussed and dealt with. Nothing to see here.

He’s about to start his third ‘Power Nap’, and it’s not even 1pm in the afternoon.

I gather that Sessions’ lifelong ambition was to become Attorney General of the United States.

He finally achieved his goal, only to cede all practical authority of the position and actually betray his very own President. I have come to believe he must be a planted stooge of the Deep State, who doesn’t even care that he will go down in history as likely thee worst AG in our country’s history!!!

If I had been looking over his shoulder when he was voting on election night, November 8, 2016, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had voted for Hildabeast Crooked Hillary.
His malfeasance in office from day one can lead to only that one conclusion.

Oh, I like your post. I believe Comey is a dirty cop, but there is nothing like prosecuting someone in the court of public opinion.

It is sooooo reliable. Like when it was popular to say all those who served in Vietnam were lunatic, drug addicted, baby killing, fascist pigs, lynching blacks was giving them what they deserved, locking Japanese up in concentration camps was needed to protect this country, the only good Indian was a dead Indian, and best of all crucifying Jesus and releasing Barabbas to the mob.

I do not only want him prosecuted I want him hanged. The man is a disgusting traitor. He sold out his country and has attacked our president and inspired others to do likewise. To the gallows with this prick

Help me understand HOW THE HELL......

There are several themes at play here:

1). It sends a message to Comey to get his affairs in order

2). Maybe the next poll will be about Sleepy Sessions.

3). It sends a message to all the other smug criminals...as we wait for a few more polls like this one.

4). Serves as part of the Red Pill activity in anticipation of further revelations, indictments etc. of the above said criminals.

Well done!!! Sometimes you need to spell out the obvious to those who are “slow on the uptake.”

The political will to prosecute in this environment was lacking, so educating the voting public has been necessary in order to bring political pressure to bear in order to prosecute. It’s a complicated situation for Trump, what with all the Democrats and apparently a large number of Republicans holding the Sword of Damocles in the form of impeachment over his head, for imaginary charges. Things have to be back-doored past the gatekeepers.
