CIA Director Mike Pompeo made a top-secret visit to North Korea over Easter weekend as an envoy for President Trump to meet with that countrys leader, Kim Jong Un, according to two people with direct knowledge of the trip.
The extraordinary meeting between one of Trumps most trusted emissaries and the authoritarian head of a rogue state was part of an effort to lay the groundwork for direct talks between Trump and Kim about North Koreas nuclear weapons program, according to the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the highly classified nature of the talks.

The establishment and leftists who think they are revolutionaries all hate Trump so much he will get no credit from the media or peace activists.
None.
It will be ignored and downplayed.
This is not what the Chinese Communists want.
Maybe Trump wanted it leaked.
It later emerged that on Obama's just TENTH DAY IN OFFICE, the Nobel Committee came to their decision to award Obama the Nobel.
Ridiculous, huh...?
So I think there really should be NO QUESTION AT ALL that Trump get one.
“Not as long as we have an Attorney General who has no idea or no desire to do his job.
Doing his job would be haaarrd. It’s much more fun to sit under his desk and play with his Barbies and let his boss, Rosenstein, make the decisions and give orders.
“according to the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the highly classified nature of the talks”
Loose lips, sinks ships. I get it, POTUS announce a possible meeting, but this still a leak.

If it’s “top-secret” why is the WaPo talking about it?
That's a given. But no messy fighting will be needed. The south will eventually vote to let NK take over.
“Maybe Trump wanted it leaked.”
That is a possibility. President Trump did not deny it when asked and the way he acted and commented I think the story is true.
Hang them from lamp poles would be fine with me.
I am sick of the backstabbing, treasonous acts and lies - lies and more damn lies.
But . . But . . STORMY!!!
I think there would be some token-reduction of US troops in South Korea (37,000 presently). Wouldn’t surprise me if they announced 3,000 gone within 90 days after the treaty. Course, they’d probably just remove them to Alaska.
Long-term, if Kim would show some behavioral changes and be less aggressive, I could see half the US troops there gone in three years.
The sh*t fingered Midas literally left the entire world in worse shape than when he entered office. So glad he’s gone.
Most likely this is just the Chicoms trying to slow roll MAGA. POTUS is unlikely to go all out on trade with a deal on NK seemingly so close.
"Extraordinary"? Um, you mean like this?
#FakeNews
It seems when I was there in the '70's there were 200,000+.
And deny our soldiers the best chance to visit other countries and have world life experiences? I believe for all the young military personnel that have a chance to station over seas, it is a real learning life experience. Great way to grow up fast and learn about life.
CIA director?
