I had a rear seat in an MD-80 not all that long before one threw a blade with one or more dead.

Yes, I was concerned, and not too thrilled with the extra noise.

OTOH, the MD-80 had a vertical oval design, so the window seat was a bit more comfortable.

Plus MD-80s have 2 rear-mounted engines. Not under the wing.

Ugh. That’s terrible. MD-80 was a good plane, as I recall. I flew on many of them back in the day!
