Syrian state-run television says Syria’s air defenses have confronted a new “aggression,” shooting down missiles over the area of Homs in the country’s center.
It did not elaborate or say who carried out the airstrikes early Tuesday.
The Syrian Central Media run by the government said the missiles targeted Shayrat air base in Homs.

Also the prior year’s attack had about 2/3 failure rate. Apparently mostly typical SNAFU failures.
The Tomahawks are rather basic cruise missiles these days. The missiles fired from the B1s are latest & greatest. I suspect they were rather successful.
Russians stayed out. If they were involved our 2 USN ships doing the firing in the Red Sea wouldn’t be sailng today.
As a general note, I think we are reaching a stage in the technical cycle of warfare where defensive weapons now have the initiative. These cycles are perfectly normal
