“Iron my shirt!”

Fortunatly, my husband wears tshirts pretty, much exclusively, so I can get out of that chore :>)

When my wife finishes her ironing of her clothes, she always asks my if I have something she can iron for me since she's on a roll. If I have something I need ironing I thank her and ask her to just leave the board and iron out and I'll put them away after I finish, and I do the same for her. I stand on my own and find even the appearance of servitude repugnant.

Well, I believe it’s a matter of attitude and how one human looks at another with their heart. I’m beyond happy to cook, clean, all that for my husband. BUT he does everything, and I mean EVERYTHING around the house to keep it tip top, the house itself, wiring, plumping, the yard, keeps the cars fixed. On top of that there are many more things we do together.

Sure, he’ll do the wash when he feels like it, but we are both happy to do whatever we can for one another. We’re truly best friends after almost 35 years marriage and simply happy to do whatever it takes for the other person.
