More than 50 student groups at New York University have pledged to boycott Israeli goods and academic institutions, and are urging the school's administration to join the cause.
Led by NYU Students for Justice in Palestine, the petition of support urges students to boycott brands such as Sabra Hummus and Hewlett Packard, boycott Israeli academic conferences and schools, and demand that NYU divest from Israeli companies.

Even students in Sabra's hometown are ignorant of what they're boycotting. Sabra is a US firm, founded, where else, in New York. They dominate the US market. The product being boycotted here is manufactured in the US. Though their most advanced plant is in Virginia, home of Robert E Lee which could be the problem. They are owned 50% by Israel's largest hummus manufacturer, the other 50% by Pepsico. Pretty much puts the idea that BDS is boycotting Israeli products to rest. The problem is a company with an Israeli sounding name, and an Israeli investment in the US. Not an Israeli company creating jobs for out of work palestinians.
I’m surprised they’re no boycotting to university for what little academic work they have to do.
