That's why I said "the cycle of media-driven school shootings." Maybe I should have said "the current cycle."

Columbine wasn't the first school shooting by any means, but it was the first to get massive wall to wall coverage.

Most school shootings before that didn't have many casualties and didn't attract major media attention.

People still remember the names of the Columbine killers and that's unusual.
