The Israeli pipeline has too many points where it can be sabotaged. Seems better to have a facility for loading LNG onto tankers, from which they can go wherever gas is wanted.

Yes. And both enemy pipeline proposals through Syria can be sabotaged at any time - and will be - no matter who “wins” the war there. This, both sides will be losers. Only Russia will still be able to supple reliable fuel to Europe. The Israeli proposal is a good one but still vulnerable to Turkish nut regime attack ( though the IDF and Greeks would crush the Turk jerk at his first attack, he’s crazy enough to still dare try it,). Russia winds up the winner of at least 90 percent of the chips ev n if the Israeli- Cypriot- Greek pipe ever gets built. Syria is russia’s Blocking stone against any serious energy supply competition in European markets. Plus it’s a great warm water port for the Russian navy. Russia isn’t going to give Syria up
