I found a thread from a few weeks ago on this very subject at Democratic Underground. Universal praise for Dick’s, of course....but also post after post predicting higher stock prices and increased sales, :-)

As long as you didn’t accidentally type “Dick’s reviewed” or “Dick’s on parade” or some such nonsense.
It’s their property. They bought and paid for those items and if they want to take the loss on them they should be able to. I hope they are not planning to take a tax write off on the items they themselves destroy. It’s a really stupid way to do business but hey, if they don’t care about staying in business, I sure don’t care.
I was recently looking to buy a kayak for our boat so the kids could use it. Daughter knew and sent me one that was on sale at Dicks. Nope! I went to walmart.com and found a perfect one on clearance.....so I bought 2. Lol
I say BS. Wait 6 months and get the whistleblower story how they returned them to the manufacturer or sold them to other retailers.
Why don’t they just burn down their stores, with all the executives and stockholders in them, while they are at it.
Or maybe they are just SAYING they are destroyed... While donating them to ANTIFA, ISIS And Al Qaeda etc..
And change their uniforms to include those stupid pink pu*sy hats.
