A “false flag” chem op here and there by the rebels might be possible, but the assessment paints a pretty convincing picture and pattern of many chem attacks by Assad, some rather thoroughly investigated, including the one that triggered the last US strike — now proven to be Assad’s work (Putin trools* please take notice!)
There’s no way the rebels could pull all those attacks off as “false flag ops” without being “discovered”. Further, note the lack of credible(!) reports of Assad supporters (Army, militias, Hezbollah) being targeted.
*That’s actually a typo, but perhaps I’ll use it to create a new word, meaning: troll + tool + fool. If certain posters continue to act like imbeciles, “drool” can be added. :-)
