Since when is it OK to go in and carry out a military operation with a touchy feel and then claim we accomplished a goal?

The goal was to bring Al Qaeda and Bin Laden to justice. It had to be done. 9/11 is not something our nation could let slide. And, turning Afghanistan into a parking lot wasn't an option.
