The Russians are good at this stuff. During the Cold War, they duped the lefties. Post Cold War, they’re duping right wingers. Gotta it hand it to these guys - Russians are the world champions of disinformation. The real annoyance is the Russian attempt to foment a low level civil war in the US, abetted to some extent by Democratic operatives who are somewhere between making stuff up for political advantage and genuine belief that the GOP is in cahoots with the Russians.
