Marcela Rivera told Eyewitness News she lives in constant fear.
She's an undocumented mother of five American children whose husband, Carlos Gudiel, was just deported back to Guatemala on Wednesday.
Eyewitness News obtained video of him in his home country as he was tearfully reunited with his mother.
"My husband is not a criminal," Rivera said, in Spanish.
Rivera said her husband did cross the border illegally twice but he doesn't have a criminal background. It may be hard for people to understand her situation, she said, but all they ever wanted was a better life.
The Harris County GOP chair said the immigration system needs to be fixed regardless.
"We need to enforce the law," GOP chairman Paul Simpson said. "He's a grown man who made this decision after he'd been deported once before to violate the law again and then father five children, so I hope his family does get reunited with his family back in his home country."

He IS a criminal. He crossed the border illegally TWICE. Thats TWO felonies.
Take your children and GO HOME, Mrs. Illegal.
She is undocumented, so why did she get to stay here?
Try to stay afloat,, isn’t there a safety net for the kids?
Should have gone with him, and taken the kids. I'm all in favor of keeping families together.
She’s illegal, deport her to be with her husband. The state is already paying big bucks for her litter so let the state farm them out to foster homes. 5 kids is enough free benefits to make her rich.
Welfare mother raising five future MS13 members.
Obviously not fearful enough of being deported back to her own country.
She, like her husband-is a CRIMINAL. They BROKE the laws of this country by entering illegally. I love the way these people redefine ‘criminal’ as doing something that breaks laws but is not illegal.She belongs HOME with her kids, with her husband. Her ‘American’ kids can return, legally, when they are adults. We need to start loading up some C130’s. I have ZERO pity. We enforce our laws OR we annex Mexico before they annex us!
>>A lot of Americans are struggling to stay afloat, so?<<
Exactly right. And whenever I see a ridiculous headline such as this one, it turns my stomach because I know that what I’m being enticed to read is some whiny leftist garbage meant to persuade me that these filthy invaders are deserving of my sympathy. GET ‘EM OUT OF HERE!
Que, Senora?
Yo no hablo Espanol.
She’s been in the US illegally long enough to have 5 anchor babies but she can’t speak English for an interview? Go to hell. Or anywhere southward.
“She could always following him, take the whole family and good riddance.”
Exactly. She has the option of going with her husband.
Blah, blah, blah.... same old crap. It will never be "fixed." We need a ***king WALL!
5 anchor babies while in our country, but havent managed to learn English.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amazingly we actually have FReepers that believe the children raised by people who do not speak English do not speak the language of the parents who raised them.
I have seen multiple posts making that claim as to why we can’t deport DACA recipients.
>>Shes an undocumented mother of five American children
Those American children get her free goodies all day long.<<
GET ‘EM OUT OF HERE.
They got themselves into this mess, and they expect us to feel bad about it.
“She’s an undocumented mother of five American children...”
Illegal alien of 5 anchor babies.
“Undocumented”=Illegal. I’m sure they deserve to be here, but following the rules is what makes us better citizens
This would be a good case study.
How many times did either she or her husband vote?
What names and social security numbers did they steal, if any?
What free social services did they get subsidized by the taxpayer?
What is the total value of the services they consumed?
Including education, I bet its nearly $50,000 a year. Maybe double if they had medical care needs.
>>We really do have to change the misinterpretation of the 14th that gives illegal aliens children US citizenship.<<
Yes, and I’m waiting patiently for our President to lead the charge to get this done before it causes any further damage to our once-great country.
