The White House is preparing talking points designed to undermine Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's credibility, according to sources familiar with the plan. The plan calls on President Donald Trump's allies to cast Rosenstein as too conflicted to fairly oversee the Russia investigation. The talking points are still in their preliminary form, and not yet finalized, people familiar with their preparation said. The White House and the Justice Department declined to comment. Already, a number of Trump's associates have called for Rosenstein's firing in appearances on television and in public remarks over the past few days, but not all of them did so at the request of the White House.
As special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Trump encroaches further into the President's inner circle, his allies outside the White House are ramping up their efforts both to defend him and to encourage a tougher stance against a probe they claim has dramatically overstepped its bounds. FBI agents relied on search warrants that had been executed by the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York in conducting the raid. They obtained the warrants after receiving a referral from Mueller's office.

You have an opinion. Your opinion may be wrong.
The Five said Rosenstein visited the WH for 1 1/2 hr today.
Just amused CNN wrote this article.
I’m waiting on what “R” says before I get excited.

Anonymous sources are referenced.
Nobody knows who they are.
From the article.
“The talking points are still in their preliminary form, and not yet finalized, people familiar with their preparation said. The White House and the Justice Department declined to comment.”
“If Rosenstein altered documents or presented altered documents, someone is going to prison.”
Ha, ha. Very funny if, by “someone”, you mean Rosenstein. The crooks in The Swamp are teflon.
lolol...especially an anonymous queer with such a crappy track record.
Fellas, Trump will be fine. His detractors on the other hand, not so. It was no accident that DJT won the election.
Like I said...you are a straight shooter.:-)
I wouldn’t want to wait for “S”, though “T” could provide some good entertainment.....
(hat tip VDH)
Mueller might show a bit of bi-partisanship by traveling down these investigation roads.....(but his handlers, power-stricken Democrats, would scream bloody murder):
.....in his search for instances of lying, Mueller might re-examine the false testimonies given to investigators by McCabe and by Clinton aides Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin.
In his search for Russian collusion, Mueller might also investigate Steele, Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS and the Clinton campaign. All used Russian sources to leak unproven gossip and smears to the press in an effort to warp the 2016 election.
In his search for obstruction of justice, Mueller might also investigate whether top DOJ and FBI officials deliberately misled the FISA Court before and during after the 2016 election cycle by withholding evidence that the Steele dossier was flawed. Did Justice Department officials inform the FISA Court that Steele’s dossier was hired research paid for by the Clinton campaign? Did they tell the court that the FBI had stopped using Steele as a source for purportedly leaking information to the media? Did they tell the court that Comey was on record as saying the Steele dossier might not have been credible?
In his search for felonious behavior concerning the leaking of classified documents, Mueller might determine:
1) Whether the memos regarding presidential conversations that Comey leaked to the press were classified;
2) Whether former top national security and intelligence officials — among them John Brennan, James Clapper, Samantha Power, Ben Rhodes and Susan Rice — requested that the redacted names of surveilled Americans be unmasked, and whether officials then illegally leaked those names to the media;
3) Whether FBI officials such as Comey and McCabe leaked confidential findings from their investigations to the press during the 2016 campaign and lied to investigators about it.
Heck, why leave those key investigations to Mueller? Trump does have a DOJ, doesnt he (snicker)?
Robert Crapweasel undermines himself.
Could you please keep your queer experiences to yourself.
This is a conservative site...when you decide to become an ex-queer, come back and tell us all about your recovery.
True, but Rosenstein still enjoys Sessions’ full and effusive support.
Come and enjoy the fun.
What goes on behind the scenes is hidden from public view.
Sessions knew the decrepitude of the management of the DOJ.
The house is being cleaned (per Q).
Counting down.
White House is prepping an effort to undermine Rosenstein = They are going to fire him.
Another sit back and enjoy the show, post?
Sorry, the country and Trump are in the fight of their lives. To say that Trump (and the country by extension) "will be fine", isn't appropriate.
