They plan to use this as an attack on Trump. That he’s nuts and using the NG for no reason and/or solely for political purposes.
I’m not sure the governor expected so much push-back on this idea, as he received.
I think he has compromised.
He is still strongly anti-Trump on this issue and basically every other issue.
He says lots of things. But he is partly going along for now.
They can try and use the NG troops against Trump but it will fail because the voters are solidly behind him on shutting down illegal aliens crossing our borders.
He has AGREED to Trumps order to send his troops to border.....FULL STOP!!
The rest of the crap in his response I’d nothing but an attempt to soften the outrage of the looney tunes Liberals in his State which are at this moment in full meltdown mode over Moonbeam acquiescing to this President they so despise.
