This theory makes no sense to me. It’s not like Trump hasn’t responded to Syrian gas attacks before.
I am not saying I buy it but the theory is that Assan wanted Jaysh al-Islam to completely evacuate the area and that is why the negotiations broke down. So if it was a false flag operation it might have backfired since it looks like Assan got what he wanted.
