So how did this go down? I’ve heard conflicting reports. One was that Berman reviewed the request and declined to act and got a call from Rosenstein telling him to recuse himself and the other is that when he saw it involved the President’s lawyer he recused himself? Anyone know?

From the language used in the article I’d give it a 90% chance that it was not voluntary. Reads like the author is deliberately evading the revelation of involuntary recusal. Note the lack of “recused himself” anywhere.

I don't have an answer. But that was my first impression when I read about this earlier. Berman felt what was being done is unethical and declined to participate.

But Mueller’s witch hunt team is made up of NOTHING BUT Hillary bootlickers and Dem donors and no one gets recused.
OK, I think I’ve got the picture.

Karl is DC based so I assume this is a leak/spin from Mueller/Rosenstein.

So, when Clinton's lawyers are involved, they get immunity deals; Trump's lawyers are either recused or served with search warrants.
Doesn't seem like an even playing field to me.

Why did he recuse himself?
If he's unwilling or unable to do his job supervising the Southern District, then fire him.
And that worthless sack of dung Sessions.
The President is lost if he cannot assert authority over the Department of "Just Us."

Thanks.
I goofed - I think the same story has been posted here three times.
I almost always do a F.R. search before I post, but the time stamp on the ABC article was only 15 minutes old when I stumbled across it.
I was thinking: “Huge Story!” “Huge Story!” “I'm the first Freeper to see it!”
Whoops!
