GOP Sen Grassley: ‘It Would Be Suicide’ to Fire Mueller – ‘POTUS Ought to Have Confidence in him’
Breitbart ^ | 4/10/2018 | Ian Hatchett

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) stated it “would be suicide” to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller and President Trump should have “confidence” in Mueller.

Grassley said, “I have confidence in Mueller. The president ought to have confidence in Mueller. And I think…it would be suicide for the president to want, to talk about firing Mueller. The less the president said on this whole thing, the better off he would be, the stronger his presidency would be.”

Grassley also praised Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ work and argued the president shouldn’t put the Senate through another confirmation battle.

There are 100 senators. Name one who has backed Trump against the Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller cabal.

Name ten Reps who’ve backed him.

Well, it would only make the division formal.

I would hope that Trump has a whole dossier by now on the malfeasance of Rosenstein and Mueller, etc. and he should start to leak it and tweet it.

He should fire them. I didn’t say that the Republicans are defending him, but Mueller and Sessions are hurting his presidency.

You/OP are right.

Thought that I read somewhere that he went straight to the Senate.

Why should anyone have confidence in a thug who operates with the Democrat Organized Crime Syndicate?

Did the Senators like Grassley, Rubio and beyond find Ted Kennedy’s hidden stash of Ol’ Quagmire?

Are they drunk just from breathing the air in the swamp?

Is this any way to run a country?

With a bunch of fools and buffoons that once elected .. seem to forget why they ran and who elected them? or did they *-?

You make the call.

Trump has less support in Congress than Richard Nixon had. Nixon went the firing route and discovered what happens when your own party doesn’t have your back.

Trump has risen to the highest political office by specifically going against the exhortations of swamp-dwellers and typical political logic. In fact, its a pretty good contra- indicator: whatever they say, do the opposite.

Its time to again go against conventional DC wisdom.

I don’t watch the news but I can see what is happening with my own two eyes. Again, if you know something we don’t, please share, otherwise it just sounds like wishful thinking..

He has lots on them ad this little action is being done by the DS to deflect the condemnation and scrutiny that will come when the IG report and other revelations hit the airwaves. Mueller&RR always follow a pattern that whenever damning information is out n about they do something like this. They are going to swing for what they have done.

No I am not going to share it with you. I prefer to just let things happen and then I will address it.

He can fire those people and he could have vetoed the bill.

Please tell me you're joking and that you're really not that stupid.

Not only was Grassley in the US House, he was very close to the legendary H.R. Gross, whose House seat Grassley won after Gross retired. I believe Grassley served as a Congressional aide to Gross for a while.

Gross, BTW, was a favorite of Murray Rothbard.

What does the Mule and his team have to do to lose the support of even the “conservatives” of the GOP? The facts of this “investigation” speak for themselves, and it stinks to high heaven. The “Stupid Party” had better wake up, or they are going to face a revolt of its base, and face serious losses in the midterms.

“Please tell me you’re joking and that you’re really not that stupid.”

I’m not a cheerleader like you. He has a veto pen. You’re stupid if you think he should continue with an AG that isn’t involved in things he hasn’t recused himself from.

Senator Grassley, and everyone else in Washington, knows Mueller is not conducting an honest investigation.

They all know Mueller has one goal only, to destroy an innocent man.

Why do Grassley and others lie and pretend they believe Mueller is honest?

Because the Washington DC establishment is totally corrupt.
