On Tuesdays broadcast of the Fox Business Networks Mornings with Maria, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) stated it would be suicide to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller and President Trump should have confidence in Mueller.
Grassley said, I have confidence in Mueller. The president ought to have confidence in Mueller. And I think it would be suicide for the president to want, to talk about firing Mueller. The less the president said on this whole thing, the better off he would be, the stronger his presidency would be.
Grassley also praised Attorney General Jeff Sessions work and argued the president shouldnt put the Senate through another confirmation battle.

Lol. So if they impeach Trump, the Democrats win in a landslide in November.
Ahhh...you think that could possibly be The Plan?
Very concise and informative—thank you!
“Lol. So if they impeach Trump, the Democrats win in a landslide in November.

No, you think it’s 3-d chess.
Don’t put words in my mouth. All the Swamp wants is for DC to be the way it was before Trump came in and threatened to drain them/it. The Democrats winning in a landslide would accomplish the Swamp’s goal.
Quite simply, no. You have little recourse.
If a prosecutor wants to go after you, they can, will, and have.
It is a pretty common tool used to disrupt and destroy people.
You don’t know that Mueller won’t get Trump impeached also if Trump doesn’t fire him. Trump’s base would support him firing Mueller.
LOL - Dont fire Mueller, appoint a conservative, got Trump’s back, co-prosecutor or an accounting auditor for their expenses.
Gretzky’s got it the other way round. It would be suicide not to fire Mueller. Mueller’s a lawless, out of control outlaw that needs to be tackled head on and taken down.
Trump’s base doesn’t get to vote on whether to impeach Trump or not. Only the people who hate Trump get a vote.
“Trumps base doesnt get to vote on whether to impeach Trump or not. Only the people who hate Trump get a vote.”
But the polls would make Republicans not vote for his impeachment.
This exchange has gone on long past the productive stage. The GOP is the Uniparty. They would be happy to see the Democrats win big in November. It would mean a return to business as usual in DC. That’s all they want. Win-win for the Uniparty.
But the polls would make Republicans not vote for his impeachment.
That I agree with. No way the GOPe wants their finger prints on removing Trump from the WH. That would totally expose them to their base. They’d much rather have him in the WH and neutered.
The GOP is indeed uniparty but they need deniability to continue duping their base. Voting on the record to actually convict Trump removes that.
Maybe an impeachment trial, ending in not guilty, combined with a big Democrat win in November, would sufficiently weaken Trump for their purposes.
Maybe an impeachment trial, ending in not guilty, combined with a big Democrat win in November, would sufficiently weaken Trump for their purposes.
But why risk it? After the omnibus bill it’s clear everything is going fine for the beltway GOP.
Unless the GOPe want Trumpers to leave the party and so they can rebrand the GOP as a progressive corportist party.
We live in historic times. Of that I have no doubt.
Until and unless Trump is fundamentally neutered, he remains a threat to the Swamp.
There are times in history where the proverbial powder keg is one spark away from blowing. I think the retched left, scum NeverTrumps, and eunuch GOP are itching for the “hot war” daring POTUS with firing Mueller. It is a horrendous Catch-22.
+1
Gassely has lost it. :-)
Well, when this supposed takedown of the DS that we have been told is coming any minute now for the last year finally happens, wake me up and Ill dance in the streets. Until then I will just have to continue watching them run roughshod over our country, president and laws- becoming more entrenched, emboldened and powerful by the day.
