The idea of “registration” is pretty common. My mother always asks if my guns are “registered,” and I have to explain to her that it’s neither compulsory nor necessary to require it. We still live in a free country for a little while longer.
In WV, it's not even possible ... there's simply no mechanism to "register" your weapons with any state, county, or local authority.
Any attempt to tell some story with ‘numbers’....is bogus. In some counties in the south, I’d take a guess that there’s four weapons for every single adult in the county.
No, FRiend, you happen to live in a free State. In less free states such as Michigan, you have to register your handguns but not your long guns. In states such as Kalifornia, you have to register all of your guns. In free states such as Arizona, there is no gun registry.
The only guns I had to register were handguns that I either purchased myself or inherited when my dad died......rifles and shotguns not required.
