Nice. A car that rarely starts and then rolls over when it does is just the kind of thing that will save Gaia.

Heh-heh! Reminds me of the Cheech & Chong movie "Up In Smoke", doing their thing in that huge van. Do young people still do that stuff in vans nowadays? I mean, comfortable SUVs are everywhere.

They French got up to almost half ownership (and did exercise more control than their investment warranted) but AMC remained American.

Renault left the Jeep line of AMC
alone, as they were the only
vehicles keeping AMC afloat.
But AMC was not still “American”
With Renault’s backing AMC
released the AMC Jeep Eagle, also,
(AMC) for model years 1983–1987 — The Alliance and its subsequent hatchback variant, the Encore, were re-engineered Renault 9 & 11 for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Forgot to add:1970–1987: AMC (w/ Renault controlling production in 1986).
