THE FIGHT against global warming is not hopeless. But the world must work harder. That is the upshot from a new report on the worlds energy use and emissions, which shows that modern economies can cut their addiction to carbon dioxide but that the pace must pick up.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported last month that global greenhouse emissions rose faster in 2017, after flattening out in the three previous years. Ramped-up economic growth in Asia is the main culprit.
Every country in the world, the United States included, must put in more effort. Even if stringent global emissions goals seem too difficult to reach, it is still worth cutting the risk of truly catastrophic warming as much as possible. The most plausible vehicle for encouraging global effort, so the United States does not shrink its carbon footprint while others dawdle, is the Paris agreement that President Trump repudiated. Unless the president changes his mind and the United States rejoins the pact, the country will squander the moral currency it earns when reports like this come out.

Snowing again today. But only the NE US was cold. I am in the mid west. But the rest of the world was really warm. 48K died from the cold this winter in the UK. Global warming global warming global warming.
Time to end the endless war on “global warming”.
Declare victory.
Declare defeat.
Whatever.
Just end the nonsense—and move on...hunt for Russian Unicorns...better use of MSM time...
The entire race of Man, all our machines and everything we do contributes to .0038% of the atmosphere. It’s 6 billion tons of CO2, which sounds like a big, scary number but again, it’s only .0038% of the total atmosphere. A solar eclipse by the Moon changes the earth many, many times more than that. Termites of the world contribute 60 billion tons of CO2 to the atmosphere. We are very much, not important at all on a planetary scale.
We’re back to Globull Warming now?
I thought it went the way of Russian “collusion”.
I just can’t keep up.
I’ll do the 12 oz curls.
It was flurrying Saturday afternoon, April 7, in East Tennessee. I am still hoping for a little global warming.
Global warming is real, but there is no wholesaling as it used used as a political tool. For instance denial of the true cause and change of environment around main measuring tools. 1. Measuring tools once were inthe rural areas. Now do to urban sprawl they are surrounded by buildings creating headlines. 2. Population increase decrease vegetation. More and large roads increase heat storage vs vegetation. 3. Reaction to flooding caused by decreased vegetation and more increased drainage cause flooding. Cities build quick drainage systems. Less humidity. More heat. Less humidity more heat draught, more heat. But you say it’s caused by fossil fuels, really. How narrow minded.
“THE FIGHT against global warming is not hopeless”........I’d say it is hopeless unless it is proved that any warming is man-caused. I don’t believe it’s been proved. If any real cooling occurred, these clowns would say it came about because of their efforts anyway....another thing which could not be proved. They need to pay more attention to what’s actually happening & quit making up so much “what ifs”.

Suggestion. Shutdown all Amazon servers and office and warehouses and their newspaper.
Imagine the hot air from their sites.
Asia is the "main culprit", but the United States "must put in more effort"...
Got it...
You missed something...”Three previous years”. In other words, while the lyin’king was in occupancy at the WH. See how that works?
