Note to Mr. Wozniak, Google is the same, or worse. Google not only has all the “Google account profile” data, but every bit of data it can put together by connecting all your browsing activity with all the websites you visit and all the web sites you long onto and all the on-line buying you do and all the financial data it collects otherwise and can connect you to. Who does it database all of that information for? It’s only real customers, the online data accumulators and who they serve, the only advertisers.
I seem to recall that sometime in the early years of Fakebook Mark Zuckerberg was actually quite boastful about an “end of privacy” kind of theme, where he was being quoted dismissing privacy as some antiquated notion being obliterated by technology. I was surprised that there was not a lot more push-back at the time.
I enjoy using Duckduckgo.com for my searches. They claim, at least, to not save your activity info.
