Putin is going to risk everything in Syria, his puppet Assad, his gas and oil pipeline, his long-desired warm water port, to...make a few crack pots upset with Trump? Encourage a few folks to make embarrassing false flag posts on Facebook?

I do not agree. Trump’a base is going to stick with him regardless of what he decides to do in Syria. Putin is not running his foreign policy in order to manipulate small numbers of American conservatives. We are not that important.
I have to laugh at the people on here who every week announce they are abandoning Trump. You would think he would have no support by now.
