If anyone has been back to Munich after a long time( as we did), it looks like a city under siege. Many homeless people on the streets, open drunkenness etc.

That's really sad. The last time I was in Munich was March of 1995. Loved watching the glockenspiel and we ate (and drank) at the Hofbräuhaus.

It was so fun. Caught the early train from Kaiserslatuern, 3 hours on the wonderful train seeing beautiful places, spent the day in Munich tooling around and exploring, had lunch, then caught the late afternoon train back home.

We used to do a lot of day trips like that while in Europe. Visited dozens of historic and famous places via rail.

I've heard from lots of folks that many of the famous train stations in Europe are now notorious hangouts for refugee gangs.

Maybe I just won't ever go back to Deutschland...

It would ruin me to see it so changed and I'd rather keep the good memories I have.

So sad what is happening in Europe. I have family in Nice, France. Use to spend my summers there when my father was stationed in Orleans. Have been back on several occasions the last being in August 2000. It seemed I saw more Arabic people than native French. I can’t imagine what it is now some eighteen years later.

Small towns we visited seemed quiet and secure. Our friends in Munich say they never venture “downtown” anymore due to the increasing violence.
Streets were loaded with burkas and at night, it looked like young Muslim men were hanging out on the street harassing people.

Wow..had no idea it is that bad. Munich used to be one of the safest large cities...so much for that.
Progressessivism ruins everything.

I’ve thought about attending the ULTRA High End Audio show in Munich in May, the largest in the world. As an entrepreneur, my Euro partners are exhibiting there and it would be nice to meet them.

The crowd is typically 25-30 thousand and a ripe target for muzzoids.

However, the concern of muzzoid terrorism was increased with recent terrorist attack a few days ago. In addition, there was a terrorist bombing last year in Munich the day after the show ended.

Amen. I visited Europe on business several times back in the 80's. From what I see/read now, I'm like you, not going back. Save the good memories.
