No they shouldn't.

Telling the public what's going on behind the scenes in a federal criminal investigation or what's going on under the radar while the investigation is still ongoing, in not protocol or professional.

Grand jury indictments remained sealed for a reason, as does the lack of press conferences announcing the latest charges and arrests. Investigators and prosecutors want this stuff kept quiet until they are ready to reveal their catches.

The investigators don't want any more RATS they may be targeting to spook and run for cover. They'd lawyer-up and clam up. It could potentially impede their investigation.

Not a good idea to throw the public a bone because they are impatient. That's what many don't grasp that I was referring to.

These investigations will take as long as they take. And then some announcements will be forthcoming.

Until then, I doubt you'll see any "bones" thrown your way.
