New details about basis for Andrew McCabe's firing from FBI revealed
Fox News ^

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was fired last month for committing three violations of the bureau's ethics code, an investigative source told Fox News on Thursday.

The violations initially were uncovered by the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General and confirmed by the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility. They included lack of candor under oath, lack of candor when not under oath, and the improper disclosure of non-public information to the media about the FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

The violations stemmed from McCabe's response to an October 2016 Wall Street Journal report about sizeable campaign donations from Democrats to McCabe's wife, Jill, during her campaign for the Virginia State Senate. The investigation found that McCabe instructed FBI lawyer Lisa Page and FBI public affairs chief Michael Kortan to work with the Journal's reporter to set the record straight.

JILL MCCABE, WIFE OF FIRED ANDREW MCCABE, BREAKS HER SILENCE ON CAMPAIGN MONEY

The source said Page’s statements to investigators were “critical” because they directly contradicted her boss, McCabe.

According to the source, McCabe's lack of candor about the contact with the Journal reporter led to his firing. The source added that Page's testimony about the matter contradicted McCabe's. Then-FBI Director James Comey claimed he never authorized the leak to the Journal.

The money quote:

"Mr. McCabe's interaction with the Wall Street Journal – which by FBI rule and practice he was fully authorized to do – was not done in secret: it took place over the course of several days and others knew of it, including Director Comey. Now, after a failure to justify the process by which Mr. McCabe was terminated with 26 hours to his retirement after more than 21 years of service, it appears that members of the House of Representatives are attempting to selectively and unfairly leak pieces of information from a report that is not public," McCabe's attorney Michael Bromwich told Fox News. "We understand that these members are attempting to create a false narrative that pits former Director Comey against Mr. McCabe. We deeply regret being compelled to respond to this selective leaking with any comment at all. Nevertheless, one thing is clear: Mr. McCabe never misled Director Comey."

It’s going down between Comey and McCabe. Need some popcorn...

The IG FISC applications investigation has only "now" (March 29th) just begun. So for that important topic, we'll being waiting a long time.

What's interesting is that Rod Rosenstein, way back in early November, before Congress, wouldn't answer many questions about the FISC applications. The reason he gave for not answering those questions was because he said that there was an IG FISC applications investigation...which apparently wasn't happening at that time.

Enough with these government euphemisms. This guy and his FBI and DOJ mafia swamp creatures are plain old liars.

Government is the handmaiden of Satan.

The money quote is “Page’s testimony.” So Page and her boyfriend are cooperating with investigations, giving testimony that gets McCabe in hot water? Unless it’s all part of the game and they knew McCabe would just get out with a golden parachute.

Save the popcorn. They will both stick their version of events, and it will never be reported on the major networks or major newspapers. The CTRL-Left alternative media will publish online diatribes justifying and excusing the actions and statements of both men, and explaining away any conflicts. And it will die with a whimper while Comey collects $10M+ for a book and a $1M white shoe law firm salary and McCabe will be flooded with VC money to start some silly enterprise that barely conceals itself as a front to collect payoffs.

There are so many obvious and blatant conflicts of interest here it makes my head spin. So they fired him for breaking an ethics code. This is not justice, he needs to be investigated and prosecuted as warranted for conspiracy, abuse of power, obstruction of justice, wire fraud, bribery, destruction of evidence, perjury, concealment of exculpatory evidence and so many more crimes. But who will investigate it? It should be under Mueller’s purview but he is so obviously part of the conflict. This is the DOJ investigating the DOJ. This is the FBI investigating the FBI. There is a very good and important reason why every major police department in America has both an internal affairs division and a civilian review board. You cannot have partners in crime investigating themselves. But what keeps the FBI honest? They have shown themselves as corrupt as any police force and yet there is no civilian review board overseeing their actions.

As much as I do not like the special prosecutor concept, as long as it exists we cannot let it be abused. We need one and possibly two new special prosecutors. We need one to do the job Mueller is failing to do - investigate election fraud crimes committed by the DNC and Clinton. These crimes include bribery, campaign finance violations, filing false reports with the FBI, primary rigging, wire fraud and simple fraud by telling Bernie supporters they were neutral in order to solicit their donations when in fact they worked entirely to support Hillary.

We need a third prosecutor to investigate Mueller and his team’s actions going back to the day 1 of his appointment as FBI director to Jan 20 2017. Mueller, Comey, McCabe and the whole crew need to be investigated. Mueller is deeply conflicted making it at least plausible that his real motives are working to conceal crimes committed by their associates and obstruct justice. The exoneration of Hillary on at least 3 separate occasions is evidence to suggest a conspiracy inside the FBI to obstruct justice. He is pursuing Trump associates on old unrelated charges and process crimes like “lying” to FBI and you know they have to plea it down otherwise the FBI will bankrupt them and possibly jail their wives and kids. This is banana republic tactics you expect from Castro or Hugo Chavez. Meanwhile they ignore known crimes committed by other candidates and parties.

Since Trump cannot politically fire Mueller, let him continue but do him in kind. Investigate him for the crime of obstruction of justice in burying all the evidence that Russia bribed Clinton and other US officials in order to buy Uranium one and any other crimes that may be uncovered in the process. That would be a legal and proper appointment.

"The source said Page’s statements to investigators were “critical” because they directly contradicted her boss, McCabe."

Yeah, this is the important part, the fab five are singing like canaries.

The silence from Page, the Ohr's, Priestap, Stroxk, and the rest speaks volumes. Those speaking out, McCabe, Comey, Brennan, et. al. are going to jail, I hope.

If they can flip Comey or somebody else on his level you move up the ladder to Obama and Clinton. Unfortunately the people on Comey's level think they are immune to prosecution. I hope they are deluded.
