Around 60% of Amazon’s shares are held by institutions. And, IIRC, Bezos and three of his buds are the 4 largest individual shareholders. I don’t think Bezos is too worried about a shareholder uprising. More’s the pity.

Doesn't matter if he cares or not. The other 40% of holders can't control the company, obviously, but they can sue for damages based on his reckless politicizing. If that happened, it would open the floodgates for anti-trust and other actions. You know how it is, blood in the water and sharks..
