Who is it that believes themselves able to discern the thoughts of Yehova?

Satanic deception!

And what do you have to fix the deception in Matthew 23 where the pronoun “he” is changed to “they” thus telling us to follow the very people Yeshua completely denounced, rather than Moses?

Only the original Hebrew written by the Cohen Matthew corrected that.

How many still think that they can follow the lies and confusion of the Pharisees; the “burden that could not be born?”

How many will burn for eternity because they believe that the “perfect law of liberty” and the nonsense of the Pharisees are one and the same?

There are scores of tripwires like that that can be corrected in the KJV by simply ignoring the italicised lies, but are welded in solidly in every modern corruption.

You’re going to have to be more specific.

Which verse?

My interpretation, regardless of what version I’m reading, is that Jesus is not telling people to do those things. Rather, he is making the argument that, due to them being “in Moses’ seat” people are required to do what they tell them to do, even though they don’t do it themselves.

It then goes on to say they heap huge burdens on everyone (but Jesus says His burden is light, so he’s clearly not talking about what He wants us to do).

I see Jesus’ words similar to a man saying to an american, “Your leaders sit in the same positions as your original forefathers, and because they have been given that authority, you do what they tell you to do, even though the rules don’t apply to them. And what they tell you to do has become ridiculously burdensome with things like a federal income tax, lots of fees, rules, etc.”

Jesus words were not about whether we should obey the scribes and pharisees. His words were a warning to the scribes and pharisees regarding what they were doing.

Your interpretation is guaranteed to present you the dilemma of Matthew 7:21-23.

Throughout the gospels Yeshua is telling us that his way is what Moses taught.

Paul does the same in Hebrews ch 3 and 4. He tells us that ‘his’ gospel is Moses gospel.

Two things:

First, I do not see a dilemma in Matthew.

Second, Interestingly, I was just listening to Hebrews on my 90 minute morning commute the day before yesterday. I actually ended up listening to chapter 4 several times because the “sabbath” rest is a “hot topic” for me, as I have debated this with SDA people quite a bit.

And I agree on the Moses Parallel. This can get into the weeds in a hurry, but let me say that I believe it is wrong to fashion my own equivalent of the Golden calf, and all that that implies.

The golden calf was clear disobedience of the covenant that they had all just taken a blood oath on.

The covenant is all there is; it is the gospel.

It has been renewed in Yeshua’s sinless blood.

The dilemma in Matthew is simply that the Greek translators switched the pronoun from ‘he’ to they, thus turning Yeshua’s commandment to do as Moses taught into a commandment to do the will of satan taught by the pharisees.

It is very likely that the pharisees were the translators of Matthew’s gospel into Greek.

I LOVE the Lolcat Bible!

I first saw that a few years ago. I couldn't believe how much of the bible had been translated into LOLSpeak.

No evangelical considers the NIV “dangerous.” As for KJV-onlyists, who cares?

Never use absolutes. (see what I did there?)

I do know some folks who would absolutely describe NIV as "dangerous".

For myself, I find truth in most versions. When I'm reading Psalms, I prefer KJV, just because if the way it flows. Other versions are apropos as I see fit.
