Her parents are Iranian, but it doesn't seem as though Nasim had anything to do with Islam. Quite the contrary: she was a radical feminist and a devotee of various other trendy lefty causes (veganism, animal rights activism, etc).
In spite of this, her actions will never be labeled "radical left-wing terrorism" by any mainstream media outlet.

Ismail Aghdam said he reported his daughter missing on Monday after she did not answer her phone for two days. He said the family received a call from Mountain View police around 2 a.m. Tuesday saying they found Nasim sleeping in a car.
He said he warned them she might be headed to YouTube because she “hated” the company.
Mountain View Police spokeswoman Katie Nelson confirmed officers located a woman by the same name asleep in a vehicle asleep in a Mountain View parking lot Tuesday morning.”

Assuming any young person especially Female, has compassion for, and the desire to protect Humans, animals, trees (flora), the geologic beauty of the planet, the climate or anything else, THEY SHOULD NOT ASSOCIATE WITH PROG LEFTISTS OF ANY KIND!

If someone baselessly denies themselves or wastes away their ability to follow their biological imperative, then a lot of the time they will leave the realm of of human decency and common sense.

We are in agreement that there was less evidence of mental damage for unmarried older women in the past (at least in appearances). This is because society had more of an authority at that time to put them in a place that had more use for them, such as convents or school. There’s a reason they are called spinsters.
It is different now, however. The dominant agenda (from MSM, online dating, deviant communities, etc.) encourages such women to become spendthrift nymphomaniacs obsessed with themselves, and this can be damaging in the long term to mental health (much like pornography). Cities and lack of cohesive family compound this issue, since these women are usually stowed in some filing-cabinet apartment away from everything else. This issue has compounded recently since the generations which experienced the sexual revolution are now reaching spinsterhood age.
In addition, studies have shown that females who have had many sexual partners are less functional in long-term intimate relationships which are monogamous due to endocrine response. Combine such dysfunction with a lack of family to show for it and a lack of personal growth, and you get a ticking time bomb in some respects.
There’s no need for them to shoot up places; most concerned take it out in many other negative ways than that. Child abuse, drug abuse, emotional abuse, self harm, exposure to STDs, and domestic violence are among the other consequences of such behavior.
As for your last sentence, I would agree that this case applies just as much as the other way around.

Well they have to live someplace.
The single women that I know all have a great family life,with siblings,nieces,nephews,and of course parents.
They have also NOT had multiple sexual partners.
Stay away from the studies and try to get to know more of these women-—you might learn something.
