The Mexican government revealed that the caravan of more than 1,500 families from Central America making their way north is part of an annual event occurring over the past seven years without prior interference. Mexico City asserts it is not promoting the irregular migration and is considering how to detain some while granting asylum to others who qualify.
The revelation was made in a recent statement issued by Mexicos Foreign Relations Ministry where it addressed the issue of jointly dealing with immigration and also discussed the caravan, which has drawn attention from the U.S. government. Mexican officials revealed that the caravan is a public event which tries to bring attention to Central American migrants who are forced to flee their homes to seek refuge at other points north. The caravan has been a yearly event since 2010 and since the migrants entered the country in an irregular fashion, they are subject to Mexican immigration enforcement. The statement makes no mention of any enforcement actions in the previous years and revealed that this year they are offering asylum to those who qualify.

The caravan has been a yearly event since 2010 when then President Obama gave Mexico the green light to open their southern border, and grant asylum for passage through Mexico to the USA. Obama and open borders Republicans welcomed the illegal immigrants.
Our border laws allow asylum seekers from countries not contingent to the USA. Thus Mexico conspired with the Obama administration to flood our borders with illegal immigrants from countries south of Mexico.
The anti-American main stream media produced sob stories supporting the illegal migration, and showed no interest in telling the whole story about our weak immigration laws.
Could this be yet another scandal for the Democrats and the Republican establishment?
Yes, "allowed" is an applicable word. So are "welcomed" and even "instigated".
DOESN'T ANYONE REMEMBER that Joe Biden went to Central America and SPOKE to these groups of 'migrants' and told them they were WELCOME to come to the USA ?????????????????
Biden To Visit with Central American Leaders on Border Children
As Obama unveils program, other efforts aim to help Central Americans -
More than 52,000 unaccompanied children were caught trying to cross the southern U.S. border in the first five months of this year. Between 60,000 to 90,000 such children are expected to have crossed by the end of 2014, and more than 140,000 are expected next year, according to the White House. Thats more than double the 24,668 that flowed across last year and triple the 13,625 children that came in 2012, according to a recent report by the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies and Kids in Need of Defense, an advocacy group for unaccompanied immigrant children.
The gangs buy congressmen and political support said Roger Noriega, former Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere and Ambassador to the Organization of American States.
The MS-13 gang in El Salvador, is a violent exception to this trend. It started as a powerful criminal organization with a national reach in the United States but moved to Central America when many of its top leaders were deported.
His colleague, Texas Republican John Cornyn concurred, saying the perception is that there are no consequences to illegally entering the United States. Cornyn and others argue that policies like the DREAM act and others give the impression that amnesty for undocumented immigrants is just around the corner.
The administration doesnt really oppose illegal immigration, he said. I mean, the people in charge of immigration policy-making in this administration dont really, in their heart of hearts, believe that we have a right to keep people out of the country who arent murderers or drug dealers in other words, sort of regular illegal aliens who just want a job.
Thank you for a pithy explanation of the source of our border issues, with the yearly illegals march!

1,500 families? Wasn’t it something like 1,200 people, not families?
