USA budget $3.34 trillion ... Army loses 10s of millions.

Trillion = 1,000,0000,000,000 thats 10 to the 12th
Million = 1,000,000 that’s 10 to the 6th

Ok doing this in my head!

Let’s assume all four services lose 100 million dollars each, the intelligence community another 100 million, the rest of the government another 500 million, that’s a total of $1 billion. 1 billion that’s 10 to the 9th. So then with the current budget at $3.34 trillion. Then 1/3.34= .3 (rounding up) times .001 that’s .3 times 10 to the -3 = .0004 So if you could solve the above “assumed waste”, you have “saved” at best .04%. I say we still go off a cliff.

Looks like myth to me!

Please note its actually worse!
Total unfunded social security obligations = $9.6 trillion
I don’t think SS is actually included in the budget calculations. (I guess Uncle Sucker thinks that helps accounting-wise!)

Total US debt $16.4 trillion, 76% of GDP - so far we can service that ! (Note it was 109% of GDP 1945 - 1946)

You still missed the point!

By a mile actually.

You continue to focus on the wrong issues, the wrong problems, and the wrong solutions.

Your analysis is woefully inadequate, by the way. Didn’t you originally say you ‘ran the numbers’ or some such thing? Now you are ‘assuming’ this and ‘assuming’ that in your calculations.

Nice try but, no sale.
