Absolutely the correct approach. Send individual requests for rescission on particular line items. This is essentially a line item veto request that the Senate and House can ignore at their own peril.

Make a daily request. Tweet away at each boondoggle and they have a 45 day clock ticking to take a vote. Trump will be the hero for forcing them to consider each piece individually. Key is to take lots of little bites.

He could even put up a challenge to the public: Send me your suggestion for the most ridiculous spending item over $50 million in this budget and I’ll pick the winners, presenting them day by day in descending order of ridiculousness.

I’ll bet the winner would be a real doozy, one that even many Democrats would vote to rescind.
