When Republicans had the power and leverage to alter the course in a real way, they punted. Now they will deceive the weak of mind into believing they would have if they could have.
The House, too, could have chosen to NOT throw all this money away...but they chose to do so.
That’s how they exercised their power.
Now they’ll exercise their influence over the stupid...which is the ultimate source of their power.

There will be if he chooses the first items to cut wisely. If the Senate refuses to hold a vote, they’ll be on record as supporting the most ridiculous Dem spending idea Trump could find in the bill. And you know there are plenty of candidates.
Beyond that, you’re saying that McConnell is going to refuse to back the President. He might, but that could get interesting too.
