Timothy Kane will discuss how American Christians have “easier” lives and get “built-in advantages over non-Christians” as well as making “room for all religious and secular identities on an equal playing field.”

I’ll admit that Christians have an easier life than most non-Christians (well, in this country anyway, not so much in Muslim countries)

The moral code and rules that Christians live by make their lives more sedate and simpler.

The honesty that and civility of Christians make them good friend, neighbors and coworkers. People generally like Christians and respect them.

Being Christian isn’t always easy. It is often difficult.

Being Christian isn’t a privilege, it’s a gift, a gift from God.

My first job I worked sun up to sun down on a farm. Up north where the days were long. Hard work. I was 11, almost kept up with the men and was paid $2 a day plus room and board.

And I’m not that old.

Being a Christian means I get to work and keep working. I had a business failure so now I have to work twice as hard to catch back up.

If I wasn’t a Christian I could be rich in a year. Once had a guy show me how he ran his high end prostitution business off shore. Zero risk of jail. Several million a year. Constant access to beautiful young women.

Now I know there is no life in that kind of life. And I know enough to eschew eternal damnation. But from the point of view of these fools - tell me about my privilege again?

I often say that being Christian is the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. It’s also the most rewarding. I can’t imagine living without faith.
