I've never found that to be the case, and have, in my 20 years met some of my best brothers and sisters in Christ at work in IT.

I have found that it sometimes depend on where you work and the age groups you work with. When I was working tech in the defense industry where most of my co-workers were my age or older, it was not a hindrance. Many Christians there. In the public sector where most of my co-workers are millennials and I’m old enough to be their mom, yes, it’s a hindrance. The majority are atheists.
