This can’t be true. I saw his campaign ads. He is a staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment. Actually, I sent him an email on Monday politely asking how his statements during the campaign jibe with that comment. Still waiting for a response.

And, he will be a “staunch defender” until Schumer needs his vote. Then he’ll vote liberal. It will depend upon how close the vote will be. If the law attacking gun rights is doomed to pass, then he’ll vote against it to burnish his credentials. If it’s close and Schumer needs his vote to pass the bill, he’ll vote Schumer’s way.
